Operator, Can I Help You?

This past Saturday Krista and I wandered around downtown Missuola hanging up posters for Krista's salon while handing out fliers and hot pink combs with her name and phone number on them. We took a break to warm up in the Florence building and discovered these three phone booths in the lobby. The phones work and the beautiful part is that you're permitted to make free local calls. Free calls. I love it...

...On another note, my book arrived today. It's beautiful but of course I'm not fully satisfied. The color is off on a few images and I miss judged the bleed on one page but that's OK. I suppose I always seem to find fault with almost everything I do. Old habits. I'll live with the color (smiling). The book is beautiful and being able to hold a copy of my very own book, flip through the 220 pages, makes me so damn happy. It reminds me of when I was a kid and I wrote my first journal. I fell in love with the idea that a book could be my very own. Seeing all my images and reading all my posts takes me back to that feeling I had as a kid. Plus, I get to relive my photographic life from last year as if I've traveled back through time in a silver Delorian equipped with a flux capacitor.

I, too, enjoy your blog, Peter, and like Kari, it's inspired me. I'm making a conscious effort to document the daily life around me instead of waiting for holidays and big family get-togethers before I take pics.
