Fawn Near Rock Creek

I made this image a few weeks ago early on a Sunday morning while looking for black bears. I spotted the doe with her fawn on the side of the road as I drove. I pulled off, got as close as I could without disturbing them and made a few pictures. This is the only one I'm somewhat happy with. It lacks emotion or anything that makes the image feel more than just an image on a generic airport-style wall calendar. I'll keep trying. The search for black bears continues...
